June 1 - Old Ford Factory & Bukit Timah

On June 1st, the whole middle school will be heading to the Old Ford Factory and the Bukit Timah hill for a field trip. We will be learning alot about the history of Singapore, especially about the Japanese War with Singapore at the Old Ford Factory. At Bukit Timah, we will be going sightseeing, and I think we'll see alot of birds, insects, plants, trees, and other special things of nature at the bukit timah hill. I'm really excited for this trip and I hope that it would be a fun and interesting time for me and my classmates.

Small Group & Father's Day

SMALL GROUP:

What was your experience in your Small Group?

It was okay. Some of the things that we did were fun, but all in all, it was okay. We talked about friends and how to overcome the problems in life.

Please talk about how we can make this program better?

I think maybe we could add a few fun activities during our small group so that it would be more exciting and not everyone would fall asleep during this time.

FATHER'S DAY:

How & when can you plan this with your mom or family?

I think that me and my mom would plan some special dinner for my dad...maybe a special dinner at home, or at a fancy restaurant.

What are you planning to do for Father's Day?

I plan to make a card for my dad, give him a big hug, or maybe even make dinner for him.

June 19th.

Hanging out with my family during summer

Why is this important to me?
I think hanging out with my family is a good way to get to know them more, and have a better relationship too. My family means alot to me and I wouldn't risk anything to lose my family. I am very proud to be in a family like mine.

What do you look forward to doing this summer?

I look forward to hang out with my family, maybe in canada, or some other country...
I hope that this summer will be a great summer for me.

Soccer Game, Personal Mission, and Chapel Message

SOCCER GAME:


Although I wasn't able to go to the soccer game yesterday, I'm sure that the boys played their best even though they weren't that successful in winning the game. I really wanted to go to this game because it was the last ball game of this school year. I hope that the soccer team will do their best next time in the coming year.


PERSONAL MISSION:


I am trying to live out my life by contacting the Lord daily, through prayer and by the reading of His word. I plan to continue this everyday so that it would become a good habit for me and make me into a better person spiritually, physically, and emotionally.


CHAPEL MESSAGE:


In chapel yesterday, we learned about how a person begins to have a personal relationship with God. He or she gets touched and amazed by the Lord's love, His creation, or whatever aspect in the Bible of the gospel through the gospel message presented to them. Then the person can just personally pray to the Lord and accept Jesus as his or her savior. He or she must be willing to give up their life for the Lord, to live a proper Christian life, and to have a personal and intimate fellowship with the fellow Christians in the Body of Christ. This is how a person can begin to have a personal relationship with God.

7-11 Party

The 7pm-11pm party on May 6th, which is next week, is a middle school party of fun, food, and excitement. This party is for all middle schoolers. Even though I don't know what will be happening at the party, I expect a lot of fun activities and good food at the party. I am planning to go to this 7pm-11pm party. I hope that it would be a fun and memorable time for me and the other middle schoolers.

MIssion Satement, Easter, and Ballgames

I'm am now trying my best to grow spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Everyday, as I'm living out my life, I try my best to read the Bible and my daily devotional book at home, and also with my friends and family members.

MY MISSION STATEMENT:

I want to be known as a good, resposible, self-confident, and helpful person and friend. I aspire to do well in my studies and bceome a better person spiritually, emotionally, and also physically. I am a person who is very lazy, and I hope that in the future, I will be known as a trustworthy, and useful person in the eyes of God, my friends, and those others around me. This is the me I want to be.

EASTER

How will I honor God at this most important day for Christianity?

I will present myself as a good and useful person of God, being a testimony of God for Him on this special day, and shining out God's glory to and through others.

How will you commemorate Easter?

I will be going to church on both Friday and Saturday. We will be doing some activities and have meetings to remember that special day.

What pagan symbols can you describe related to Easter?

Symbols like the Easter egg, or the Easter bunny are related to Easter. The representation of the Easter egg, is a symbol of Jesus's resurrection.
